The trend of skipping the support act in favour of a pint seems to be over, just 10 minutes after doors open for Jake Bugg in Exeter the Great Hall was filled with eagerly awaiting fans to be graced by the tour's support act Georgie. Supporting Bugg previously with a full band, this tour saw Georgie flying solo with minimal production, which meant sadly "the dressing room's are a lot quieter" she explained as we walked in. The acoustic format on the tour however provided the perfect platform to showcase Georgie's Brit-rock and soul inspired ballads, opening with the punchy recently-released track 'Wild Cat' that immediately boasted her hugely powerful voice.    Having seen Georgie previously supporting Blossoms with her full band this tour provided a whole new perspective on the artist, with the intimate solo performance showing off Georgie's roots from playing in pubs and clubs at an early age, honing her craft as a songwriter and proving herself as a massively confident performer. This came across abundantly in the songs from the new EP 'Too Much TV', the title track carrying a grand sound comparable to a Patti Smith chorus despite its acoustic rendition. Whilst being reminiscent of her early days, Georgie's performance was massively far from it.    Have a listen to the full interview with Georgie below to hear about how the tour with Jake Bugg went, all about the new EP and what's in store for the future:
